August 5, 2020 NECA RECOGNIZES STURGEON ELECTRIC DISTRICT OPERATIONS FOR SAFETY EXCELLENCE IN 2020

TWO STURGEON DISTRICTS EARN ZERO INJURY AWARDS

The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) recently announced that several Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. districts earned safety commendations this year.

Districts receiving NECA’s 2020 Safety Excellence Awards included Anchorage, Alaska; Auburn, Wash.; Henderson, Colo.; Las Vegas, Nev.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Troutdale, Ore. districts; and Sturgeon Electric California, LLC’s Chino, Calif. Recognition of Achievement of Zero Injury awards also went to Sturgeon Electric’s Las Vegas, Nev. and Troutdale, Ore. districts.

NECA’s Recognition of Safety Achievement program is an elite focused on recognizing thriving companies that excel in multiple areas concerning safety and health programs. It recognizes member companies that consistently have OSHA recordable injury and fatality rates at levels lower than the industry standard and implement internal company safety practices above and beyond basic compliance.
