Description: This project included construction of a new 15,000 square foot portion (Pod 1) of a 30,000 square foot data center (raised floor space) at the Denver Federal Center in Lakewood, Colorado. Sturgeon Electric’s scope of work entailed the complete electrical construction build out for Pod 1, with three 2.5MW generators, three 3,000 kVA unit sub transformers, a 115kV/35kV substation expansion, a 35kV duct bank to the data center site, and IT cabling, including equipment racks, data cabling and cable tray. Sturgeon Electric’s power line division constructed the substation.
