Community Involvement

We know the happiest, most productive and valuable employees believe in giving back and making a difference in the world around them. That’s why our company prioritizes corporate social responsibility and creating ways for our employees to contribute to causes that they care about.

For more than 106 years, our core values of safety, integrity, creativity, responsiveness, teamwork, respect, and initiative provide the foundation for how we conduct ourselves in the communities where we live and work.

We believe in building strong, resilient, and sustainable communities.

Coming together for the greater good promotes positive change and we are proud to invest our time and energy in our communities. Part of being a good neighbor is supporting communities through local giving. Through our subsidiary offices, we volunteer our time and contribute funds to support meaningful charitable causes that protect, preserve, and enhance our society.

Foor for Thought:
This year, Sturgeon Electric partnered with Food For Thought – a charity addressing childhood hunger in Denver’s public schools. Volunteers spent their mornings packing PowerSack meals to feed families of local students. Each PowerSack meal has enough food and nutrients to feed a family of four 2 meals. We are proud to be a part of this important movement!

Race for the Cure:
Since 2009, Sturgeon Electric has sponsored a team of runners/walkers to participate in the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Denver to support screening, education, and treatment for local cancer prevention programs

MUDD Volleyball:
On August 4th, Sturgeon Electric employees were knee deep in fun participating in the Colorado chapter’s March of Dimes FILTHY FINALE MUDD Volleyball tournament. This year, the event brought in over $300,000 to help mothers have healthy pregnancies and give babies a healthy start.

2018 Poker Run:
In July, Sturgeon Electric hosted its third annual charity ride and rally. Together, 240 riders covered over 130 miles and successfully raised more than $30K for Freedom Service Dogs of America! See more here.

Bike MS:
In June 2018, Sturgeon Electric proudly sponsored a team for Bike MS Colorado for the third year in a row! The team was comprised of several Sturgeon Electric employees and together, the team raised funds to support research, programs, and services for those who face the challenges of MS every day. Learn more about this event here.

Touch-A-Truck Event:
Sturgeon Electric participated in the Touch-A-Truck event hosted by the Colorado Springs Children’s Hospital and GE Johnson Construction. The event gave children and their families the opportunity to explore construction vehicles and see the new hospital while crews worked onsite.
