Sturgeon Electric’s Bike MS Team Races Hard and Raises over $29,250 for National MS Society

July 17, 2019

The last weekend in June marked Sturgeon Electric’s fourth year sponsoring Bike MS Colorado! The 28-rider team knocked their fundraising goal of $25,000 out of the water by raising over $29,250 (and counting!) to fund the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society’s mission to end MS.

Bike MS is the fundraising cycling series for the National MS Society and it raises more money than any other cycling event. To date, cyclists, volunteers, and donors have raised more than $1.3 billion to support programs, research, and services for those who face the challenges of MS. This year, the Colorado event brought in over $2.8 million and over 500 volunteers contributed hundreds of hours of their time for an estimated value of $84,000!

The Sturgeon Electric Team spent two hot days cycling from Front Range Community College to Fort Collins and back again enjoying over 150 miles of fresh mountain air and breathtaking views.

This year, two Sturgeon Electric riders flew in from Tucson for the event. Casey Peck, Jason Lopez, and Chris Wilocki rode hard and fast and finished early on in the race!

Congratulations to all the Sturgeon Electric employees and their friends and family for teaming up and crossing the finish line for a great cause!
