Location: Northeastern United States

Description: Hurricane Irene wound up by most estimates as one of the top ten most destructive and deadly hurricanes to hit the United States since 1980 with more than 5.8 million customers losing electricity. Total estimated damages were around $20 billion. Multiple crews from MYR Group subsidiaries Harlan Electric, The L.E. Myers Co., and Sturgeon Electric mobilized to New England to help rebuild and repair transmission and distribution lines.
