Description: This Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) project included the construction of a new 345kV/138kV Greenfield substation on a 120-acre site, includes three 345kV line cut-ins and one 138 kV line cut-in, ten 345 breakers, three 138 breakers, two control buildings and OPGW and ADSS communications. The project included relocating a transformer from Terminal Substation to Clover Substation and expanding the existing Nebo Substation to include an additional breaker bay. The existing Mona to Sigurd 345kV transmission lines #1 and #2 (east and west) carry an OPGW, and the existing Nebo to Ashgrove 138kV transmission line is looped in and out of the new Clover Substation. MYR Group subsidiary Sturgeon Electric Company was the prime contractor on this project.
