On Tuesday, June 3, volunteers from Sturgeon Electric volunteered their time to build new homes for Habitat for Humanity, in Denver’s Globeville neighborhood. The volunteer efforts were part of the “Jimmy Carter Work Project”, as well as the “Day of Action,” which involved the Clintons, Governor Hickenlooper, and hundreds of volunteers joining together to revitalize facilities and complete projects at six nonprofit organizations in the Denver metro area. Sturgeon Electric not only donated manpower, but also provided the tools, ladders and equipment for the job. President Clinton visited the site on June 22nd, and helped with painting and placing siding on the units that Sturgeon Electric helped to construct! Sturgeon Electric will return on July 8th to finish trim work. It has been quite an honor to participate in such a visible project for a very important cause!
Thank you to the following individuals for donating their time and efforts:
Don Egan Larry Baker Erika Banuelos Mario Borjon Tim Guntle John Gross Blake Catterall Will Suncire Nick Hadley Thom Wolfe Zach Valdez Dusty Parker
